Job Description for Chief of Staff
The COS provides a wide variety of professional support to the Commissioner. Assignments are received from, carried out for, and reported to the Commissioner who provides supervisory oversight.
This position coordinates activities, special tasks and day to day operations of the Commissioner’s office with other divisions, departments, executive offices. It also deals with government agencies and non-governmental organizations as the need arises. In addition, this position represents the Office of the Commissioner at meetings when required and appropriate; advises the Commissioner by providing extensive professional assistance, project management, and recommendations on issues and performs highly responsible management work covering a broad range of activities and responsibilities, including the supervision of staff assigned to Commissioner’s office.
This is a professional position requiring extensive experience in coordination, management, intergovernmental relations, and organizing with exceptional analytical and communication skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with at least 5 years working experience preferably in audit or financial analysis.
