The Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) celebrates its 38 years of serving the Filipino people with honor and integrity.

As we celebrate our anniversary, we incorporate to our Vision and Mission the administration’s Bagong Pilipinas campaign. Together with the President and the guidance of the Secretary of Justice, we will recreate the PCGG to better discharge our mandates in the service of the Filipino people.

Amidst challenges and incertitude during the 38-year journey, a P280Billion recovery was achieved that funded landmark legislations including agrarian reform law that benefitted our farmers (P79Billion); human rights victims compensation act (P11Billion); and the cocolevy trust fund for our coconut farmers and industry (P79Billion). P100 Billion recovered assets are for sale.

As we wind down our tasks in Mandate number 1, we pivot and gear our efforts in Mandates 2 and 3, to address the worsening corruption in the country. An empowered PCGG could become the permanent anti-corruption agency of the government to complement the Ombudsman, in our collective effort to curb corruption in the country.

We assure the Filipino people that as envisioned by the framers of the law creating the PCGG and the pronouncements of the President, the PCGG will continue to serve as a paragon of good governance in the era of Bagong Pilipinas and Beyond.
